Pevensey Castle

Pevensey Castle where William the Conqueror landed in 1066 and sight of the 1264 great siege is a great family day out. Amazingly the Priory Court Hotel is directly opposite only a few feet away.

Pevensey Courthouse Museum and Gaol

Discovered the old courtroom used until 1886 with the prison cells and exercise yard below. Discover Pevensey’s amazing history since the Romans. The museum is only a few hundred yards from the Priory Court Hotel.

The Southdowns National Park

The Southdown National Park begins at the dramatic chalk cliffs of Beachy head with its spectacular views of the sea. With one of the longest sections of unspoiled coastline in the South the National Park is popular with walkers horseriders a mountain bikers alike.

Knockhatch Aventure Park

Come rain or shine Knockhatch is well worth a visit with many exciting activities for all the family.

Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway Adventure Park

An award winning miniature steam railway where you can ride for nearly a mile behind scale coal fired miniature steam locomotives. There is also an adventure playground indoor model railway and line side walks around the five acre lake in the centre of the park.

The Observatory Science Centre

With its large copper dome and its a giant historic telescopes, the Observatory science centre is only a few miles from the Priory Court Hotel and was once home to the Royal Greenwich Observatory.
